The view at night, from Circle Quay, of the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge is utterly bewitching and awesome, in the proper sense of the word. A rare and unabashed "wow!" moment, no mistake.

The only urban spectacle I've witnessed that has similarly inspired is <A HREF="http://Johnnyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12678545794431822288noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23400750.post-69078600517446143672007-03-18T13:09:00.000+00:002007-03-18T13:09:00.000+00:00Quite a bit of Sydney is available on Google Maps ...Quite a bit of Sydney is available on Google Maps in ultra-detail:

http://googlesightseeing.com/2007/02/27/australia-day-flyover/Tom P.https://www.blogger.com/profile/05638283790763940692noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23400750.post-41692121692886492772007-03-18T11:38:00.000+00:002007-03-18T11:38:00.000+00:00Sadly I've only seen Sydney in photographs. Alternatively - New York from Staten island or the Bay from the Golden Gate Bridge.

In Sydney, the Opera House produces a unique skyline: but the bridge makes me think I am standing by the Tyne.

Don't get me wrong: I like both places. recommend a visit to Hobart.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
