A Touch of the Zim at Christmas

Chris sends me this. I hope it thrills you as much as it does me. And so to all my readers and commenters, the gypsies, tramps, thieves, truckers, kickers and cowboy angels, thanks for visiting and happy Christmas.

  1. Happy Christmas from one cowboy angel, in the midst of the madness and mayhem that is the beautiful spiritual joy that is Christmas. Did you know that the pagans....wow I didn't know that. Anyone see the wrapping paper? And do we really have to switch the tree with the telly?

  2. Happy Christmas everyone, and congratulations on a great blog Bryan!

Baby boomers can enjoy the Bob Dylan, but for generation X here's this:

  3. Just to add, you do realise, Bryan, that the story of the Hurricane is basically a conspiracy theory? Nudge, nudge, wink, wink.

  4. What do you mean by nudge, nudge, wink, wink, Andrew? Are you in cahoots with Bryan? Are you conspiring with Bryan? Are you Bryan? Am I Bryan? Am I you, pretending to be Bryan? Where are my pills?

Happy Christmas Bryan and all you mad heritics, misfits and malcontents who contribute.

  7. How do I know you're not me Shifty Loner? Especially with a name like that.

  8. Merry Christmas to all -- and for everyone in Great B., it will be 25 December rather soon.

Bryan, I love your blog. And I love your commenters (especially you, dear Andrew -- nudge, wink -- 'cause you have a stellar sense o' humor *most* of the time!).

Hope we all survive 2007 and that (most of) Bryan's predictions fail to come true!

  9. Merry Yuletide (I follow FT greetings format now!) and a Happy New Year!

Thanks for covering such a wide range of subjects and sharing your passions, rants, fun events and all those places you visit (virtually and otherwise).

And Happy Holidays to all Applets even if you are PC bound)

  12. Happy Christmas, Susan. Though remember just because I'm a bit of a Myshkin doesn't mean I haven't a bit of Raskolnikov in me. Where would a dog be without his bark?

  13. I don't know where a dog would be, with or without his bark, but our idiot neutered male cat (*without* his testosterone) spent Christmas night in a fight. He came in today bedraggled, with a torn ear and one totally swollen forepaw. The fool. We spend more on his vet visits (he gets seriously wounded a couple of times a year) than on everyone else in the family's medical bills.

How can this cat, who is such a sweet, sweet boy with humans, be such a maniac warrior with other cats? I'll never understand. But here's to Brad the Cat on Boxing Day (which he spent partially in his cat box, en route to the vet), and to the Phila. Eagles who *kicked butt* last night in Dallas!

Yes, a football team to cheer for again.

    I'm happy!
