Okay, I didn't mean it when I said women are so shallow. But American Airlines! They do.

A blog about, among other things, imaginary ideas - What ifs? and Imagine thats. What if photographs looked nothing like what we see with our eyes? Imagine that the Berlin Wall had never come down. What if we were the punchline of an interminable joke? All contributions welcome.
It seems impossible to imagine a life without frequent flyer programmes but it wasn’t until May 1982 - 25 years already - that American Airlines launched the first ever scheme. Not to be out done United Airlines launched theirs a week later.
ReplyDeleteI thought after my post of yesterday I should be much more factual!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Richard, most enlightening.
ReplyDeleteAlways better to stick to the facts, Richard. But of course, that's not something I always do when conversing with certain women in my life. For many years, I was routinely accused by my wife of not understanding her problems when I adopted an empirical/rational/pragmatic approach. A few years back, tired of being called an insensitive swine, I abandoned this tack and now I just sit on the fence, listen, and wait for her to suggest a solution. Or not. Sometimes the solution really isn't that important.
ReplyDeleteWow. That's some of the most amazingly patronising lifestyle photography I've seen in a while.
ReplyDeleteThe Americans do a great job of this sort of thing.
We American men are experts at patronizing women. Neil, I think if your advice was taken, there would be many more happy marriages.
