Sort Out the Fat Duck in my Absence

I may not be posting for a week or so. But, then again, I may. Meanwhile, what's with the Fat Duck? Heston Blumenthal on TV is certainly an odd character but diarrhoea and vomiting seem a little extreme.

  2. Nouveau movement & puke, served with a touch of broccoli....£230 per head, best accompanied by a good quality Barolo. Booking 4 months in advance is advisable.

  3. I'd spew with self-hatred if I had knowingly eaten a meal that required me to eat fish foam whilst listening to the sound of waves breaking on a pair of headphones

  4. Have no fear, I have just received a newsletter from 4od.

"Heston Blumenthal is on a mission to use myth, science and history to create the greatest feasts ever known. Taking inspiration from the quintessential Victorian novel Alice in Wonderland, he produces the ultimate Mad Hatter's tea party for a host of celebrity diners."

    And Bryan worries about bankers.

  7. The article says that some 400 people have been struck down.

I wonder if the lawyers are circling. That's a lot of people. Enough, perhaps, for an arse action lawsuit.

  8. He has a very peculiar idea of what constitutes acceptable food and menus.Personally I could never eat in any restaurant where he was the chef. Experiment is one thing; getting people to pay to eat expensive ideas is another.
