For Homer Simpson
I lead a cloistered life so I had not realised until this moment that this week The Simpsons are twenty years old. Doh! It is a good time to draw your attention to my profile of Homer. We talked for hours. He opened his heart to me. It was yellow.

ReplyDeleteThat was one of the most insightful articles I have ever read - I feel kind of weird writing that about what is in essence throwaway cartoon entertainment, but as millions have come to agree, The Simpsons is simply so much more than that.
ReplyDeleteWith some of the wittiest, most lacerating, on-the-nail observational writing on television, the programme deserves it's success.
