White, White Wine

Last night's Sunday Times party was at the Saatchi Gallery. The Saatchi Gallery does not serve red wine  - it might damage the paintings or the flooring. There was only white wine. I do not like white wine. Good party though.
*This corruscatingly brilliant photograph is my entry for next year's Turner Prize... or Strictly Come Dancing.

  1. is that mild mannered Bryan Appleyard transmogrifying into The Incredible Sulk on hearing there's absolutely no claret, and about to ruin a perfectly good silk shirt?

  2. I'd be happier with Strictly Come Banking, this photo showing an HBOS executive take some investment advice from Bernie Madoff (the first adviser in what may turn out to be a rather long queue).

  4. Have you considered joining CAMRW - the campaign for red wine? Jolly good chaps, all of them.

  5. All right Appleyard, what have you done with the strangely absent Malty? Jealous of his National Treasure status,eh?

  6. Revealing about what type of visitor the Saatchi Gallery expects. Will it be plastic only cups next so the bien-pensants don't glass each other?

  7. A frustrated Sam Allardyce screams "Noooooooo" when asked recently if he wanted to become Blackburn manager. He was appointed today. Unimpressed, Sky runs the story on the comedy channel.
