Greg Knight's Second Palace Allowance.

There's an astounding story buried on page 4 of the print edition (I can't find it on the web site) of The Sunday Telegraph. Tory MP 'Greg' Knight claimed £20,886 for his second home allowance in 2006-7. Then, the next year, he claimed £183,052,007. Amazing and nobody has followed it up. Well, evidently it's a misprint. Most newspapers are sub-edited in Ulan Bator these days.

  1. The cats whiskers are Tam Dalyell's bookcases, I mean, have you been in the House of Binns, the whole joint was done out originally for one pound seventeen and six, by the sixteenth centuries equivalent of DFS.

  2. This is trivial. From my Greek correspondent ...

As for your MPs; the numbers I've been reading have made me laugh - such amounts would have been considered fit for foolish angels only, in Greece. Jesus, we had the minister of environment found out to having built a mansion without planning permission and the minister of employment employing 3 or 4 illegal immigrants and only the second lost his job and that after a lot of more things coming out....

The trouble here is that now both parties are now totally descredited - we run out of choices. Vote for the looney party next time round.
