A blog about, among other things, imaginary ideas - What ifs? and Imagine thats. What if photographs looked nothing like what we see with our eyes? Imagine that the Berlin Wall had never come down. What if we were the punchline of an interminable joke? All contributions welcome.
Ah, you must mean the important things in life.
ReplyDeleteYou only sing when you're winning, Bryan.
ReplyDeleteJust got back from the States myself to find that you (the blog, not Citeh) are on tip-top form. Keep it up.
Ah the Ryder Cup - but that's just Europe, not us. Thanks, Brit, I'll try
ReplyDeleteOf course, you must be aware that the President of Real Madrid said that Robinho's decison to leave the Bernabeu for Citeh was 'clearly not for football reasons'. Redknapp and Adams were shell-shocked though. And in spite of the Labour conference, SWP remains popular in Manchester.
ReplyDeleteA Man' City man commenting on the Ryder Cup with 'not us, just Europe'.
ReplyDeleteRe: Europe v Britain, I was discussing beer with a charming Floridian last week. He said, in a well-meant attempt to compliment and self-deprecate: "We Americans just sit and drink beer for 4 hours and wonder why we get fat. You Europeans take a more sensible approach and just have a few drinks with long meals, right?"
ReplyDeleteFor an Englishman, this was so wrong in so many ways that I just had to let it go without comment.
Spending most of my week among their kind, I've realised that City supporters are a far better class of people that the United lot. It's like they've been brought up well. I just hope all this money doesn't go to their heads.
ReplyDeleteI imagine you'll be loosing touch with your diet too. I know i would.
ReplyDeleteOne can.
ReplyDeleteGreat observation David B. I'm sure you'd agree that Bryan and his pals Liam Gallagher, Eddie Large, and Ricky Hatton are a far better class of person Albert Finney, Ian McShane and Michael Atherton (all Reds).
ReplyDeleteOh dear - a loss to the mighty Brighton. City remain about as stable as the financial markets.

ReplyDeleteNoel, I have to agree with David. Having worked in Manchester, I've noticed that City fans tend to support their team rather than success.
ReplyDeleteAnd I really wouldn't want to comment on those middle class luminaries, Albert Finney, Ian McShane and Michael Atherton. But not every member of the working classes is a knuckle dragging primate.

You don't say!
