From Beyond the Veil...
... a mystic voice informs me that your absent blog master has an article in The Sunday Times that succeeds in making the shatteringly dull subject of arts funding interesting.

A blog about, among other things, imaginary ideas - What ifs? and Imagine thats. What if photographs looked nothing like what we see with our eyes? Imagine that the Berlin Wall had never come down. What if we were the punchline of an interminable joke? All contributions welcome.
The mystic voice has hit the nail on the head.
ReplyDeleteI love our absent idol, but there's an article about someone I love even more in your Sunday Times: BILL NIGHY, the GOD of the stage and screen. He is truly the best actor on that planet -- and if you don't believe it, just ask me. Also a tremendously nice guy in person (unlike 99% of thespians).
ReplyDeleteDo read that 'un, too, lil' applets and nigels. A dear friend is going to send me the copy of the magazine so I can have the pix, too. I turned 47 yesterday, but you're never too old to crush on a rock star (and Bill rocks)!
Well, okay, maybe it's the Saturday mag. Whatever it is, I can't get it here in the U.S. of A., but you all got it. Skinny, blond, pyrotechnically talented BILL NIGHY! Jeez, think I'm giving him enough plugs? And he shouldn't *need* them in his own country.
ReplyDeleteI'm horrified that Bryan A. never even saw "State of Play," the BAFTA-winning miniseries. But I hear there's gonna be a sequel, so you get another chance Appleyard. And Nige. I fear you were probably buying linen waistcoats on eBay and missed it.
