Art Upside Down
It was on this day in 1961 that Matisse's Le Bateau went on display in New York's Museum of Modern Art. Forty-seven days later, someone noticed that the picture was hanging upside down. it reminds me that the popular photographer and frustrated artist, Henri Cartier-Bresson said that a good test to see if an image worked was to turn it upside down.
