A blog about, among other things, imaginary ideas - What ifs? and Imagine thats. What if photographs looked nothing like what we see with our eyes? Imagine that the Berlin Wall had never come down. What if we were the punchline of an interminable joke? All contributions welcome.
When they make a movie of this, I have a title: "The Silence of the Clams." Anthony Hopkins can star as Ming.
ReplyDeleteBit of a seafood theme, this week, Nige. First oysters, now clams. Any chance you'll be commenting on this terrible tale about scallops?
ReplyDeleteFunny Chippy not mention his tiny winkle.
ReplyDeleteSusan, I fear that would be overstretching Sir Anthony - it's years since he played anyone but Anthony Hopkins.
ReplyDeleteChip, that scallop tale is deeply dispiriting - apart from anything else, a scallop shell is a thing of beauty (and a serviceable ashtray). Why don't they grind down shells for mortar, like they used to do with all the mussel shells?
Gabby, how could you?
Perfect Susan. Perfect. As Nige points out, It'll be a real challenge for Hopkins though.
