While London Freezes...

Tut tut, those naughty newspapers have been very bad. 'Significant divergence from the scientific consensus' - that will never do. Surely it's the job of all media to conform to the scientific consensus - the broadcast media are already squared, what's wrong with the press? (And it's not just the tabloids.) I blame myself. Or global warming. One or the other.

  1. I don't think even tabloid readers could mistake Clarkson for an authority on global warming.

  2. "But the science is very consistent" Consistently muddled maybe, about where the next research grant is coming from, hence keeping them employed. If the globe is warming up how come my socks are freezing off? I would have thought that an average 75% accuracy was quite remarkable for any human endeavour on this Ellis island of ours.
    So bog off Boykoff

  3. Those poor dons. They shouldn't be let out unless under supervision. "Tutor Thunderstruck: Oxford don under sedation after discovering tabloid newspaper" etc. Besides, I thought page 3 was all about global warming.
